When the Little Things Matter the Most
by the lovely & ‘No-longer-Sulky’ S.B.
The time leading up to the wedding will be the true test for your relationship. This is because this will be the time when each and every move will be scrutinized, where long term plans will be analyzed and habits will be questioned. And each of the two stakeholders will swing in between being their significant other’s perfect companion and then being the exact opposite to check how much they can get away with.
There will be moments when you will be happily planning your future and dreaming of the perfect home and upcoming vacations. Then there will be those where pending jobs, mood swings, in-laws’ requests and a general feeling of being in the vortex of a whirlpool will jar the feelings of ecstasy and leave one feeling drained. This is when you will feel the need to offload all your doubts, fears, anxiety onto your significant other. Don’t. You both are in this together. And team members shouldn’t resist each other but should try and pull the other through. Leave no man behind remember?
Try and remember how you got here. The feelings you had when you first thought about taking the leap. The excitement of taking this plunge. And finally, I realized it helps to remember why you chose this person. Perfect planning or otherwise, rain or shine, its still going to be the same person sitting next to you. Doesn’t that put a smile on your face?

Thanks for this! I really needed to ‘hear’ it for my own sanity!
